About Sonic Fitness

From a young age I was very active and as a junior competed in many running events. Since then I have enjoyed working out within the gym environment and participated in various outdoor sports. However over 12 years ago I was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes. It was then that I realised exercise was not only an important recreational and weight management tool but also essential in enjoying a long and healthy life. Exercise has become a way of everyday life for me. With it brings health benefits, increased energy levels and physical and emotional wellbeing. My training has now taken a competitive role and I train for various running events. This passion and enthusiasm for health and fitness lead me to become a personal trainer where I dedicate my time to help others to get fit, lose weight and experience many of the other benefits that come with regular exercise.

I have trained many individuals of all ages and fitness abilities on a one to one basis working to achieve their personal health, fitness or weight loss goals. I also run Bootcamps which provide individuals with the opportunity to train within a group environment to achieve their fitness and nutritional goals.

I specialise in Fitness and Weight Management and keep my scientific and practical knowledge up to date to enable me to deliver the latest innovative and effective training programmes. My enthusiastic and supportive approach will help to keep you motivated, focused and disciplined which is key to achieving results.

What you can expect from a Personal Training Programme

Whether you are a beginner to exercise or if you have been exercising for years but not seeing any visible results then a personal training programme will give you that personal touch working towards your specific goals. In your initial consultation fitness and nutritional goals will be discussed and you will undergo an assessment to determine your fitness ability. A specialised training programme will then be tailored to your personal needs. You will benefit from results driven workouts scheduled to fit in and around your lifestyle. Initial focus will be on perfecting your technique and progress will be monitored. Weight and body measurements will be taken periodically which is fundamental in keeping motivation levels high.

Sonic Fitness Bootcamps offer fun, innovative and effective training programmes designed to ignite your metabolism and fully condition your body. Isolated exercises have their place but they are not the answer to reaching your full fitness potential. Instead transform your body with my functional training programme working your body through its full range of motion, essential for melting away body fat, building lean muscle tissue and boosting your metabolism. Expect to train just outside of your comfort zone with adaptations and progressions being introduced into your programme to push and drive you forward. All the training takes place outdoors where a more varied and invigorating workout can be achieved. Environmental factors change the degree of intensity which is excellent for keeping your body on its toes! Training outdoors has health benefits too, boosting your energy levels and great for your mental wellbeing. You will also have the benefit of following a nutritional programme which will help you achieve results faster and more effectively.
